Dr. Dominic J Kleinhenz graduated from St. Ignatius High School in Cleveland, and then attended Boston College, where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then attended Case Western reserve School of medicine in Cleveland, and received the Ivan E Shalit award for Excellence in Patient Care.
After he finished a two-year Residency in General Surgery at the University of Michigan and Aﬃliated Hospitals, Dr. Kleinhenz served his Orthopedic Residency, staying at the University of Michigan. He completed his Orthopedic Residency in June of 1977.
Dr, Kleinhenz is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic surgery. He was elected a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic surgery in 1981 and has maintained his active fellowship status to this day.
Dr. Kleinhenz joined the practice of Dr. Curtis Beam and Lawrence Cerino in 1977, and they formed the Lighthouse Orthopedic Group in 1978 at 182 NE 25th St in Lighthouse Point, Fl. Dr. Kleinhenz expanded the group to the West Boca Hospital Medical Center campus in 1985 and maintained an oﬃce there until 2018.
In 2008, Dr. Kleinhenz and his associates joined the Holy Cross Orthopedic Institute. Thereafter, Dr. Kleinhenz worked for that group in Lighthouse Point, Coral Springs and Oakland Park. In the summer of 2022, Dr. Kleinhenz joined Orthopedic Surgical Associates, Inc.(“OSA”).
Dr. Kleinhenz has served in multiple Medical Staﬀ roles at North Broward Medical Center including Chief of Surgery and Secretary Treasurer of the Medical Staﬀ, and West Boca Medical Center as Chief of the Credentials Committee and the Rules and Regulations Committee.
Currently, Dr, Kleinhenz practices general, non-operative Orthopedic Surgery at OSA, with an emphasis on the conservative management of musculoskeletal system including the cervical and lumbar spine. He oﬀers comprehensive evaluation of multiple bone and joint problems with careful history, physical examination, and discussion of imaging studies.
